PRAISES BY our guests
Gorgeous Views near El Mirador.
Quiet neighborhood with a short, downhill walk to El Jardin and La Paroquia. The uphill walk back is great exercise.... or, take a 50 peso taxi ride. Taxis are everywhere and it seems that 50 pesos (~$2.50 USD) is the going rate for rides anywhere in town. There is a hotel 1/2 block away with a gym (day use fee... 50 pesos.) The pool and patio area are lovely with unmatched views. The hosts (who live in a beautiful home on the property) were there when you needed them and, otherwise, left you alone to enjoy your casita and the grounds. "Kiss" and "Oreo" -- 2 very friendly, respectful dogs -- were pleasant additions to this home-away-from-home.
Casa Cordelli is a really confortable place to stay
We signed up for two weeks at Casa Cordelli on our first visit to SMA. We were not disappointed. My wife and I are in our 70's and like to travel in a laid back manner - no American Style hotels - and this fit the bill. We had a 3 room, 1 BR villa which was quite comfortable and we loved the kitchen. We mostly used the kitchen to cook breakfast, which was really great. the rooms were spacious with a nice bed and comfy furniture. The view is spectacular. The pool and hot tub were having solar heaters installed while we were there.... we really liked the hot tub and hope the new equipment get it hotter. I guess, if one is under 40 years old, the walk to Centro may actually be 10-15 minutes, but for old folks like us it took a lot longer (it was a great walk and really helped to find my bearings, but after a couple of times, we decided to take taxi's). That being said, we walked all over SMA every day..... cobble stone streets so wear good walking shoes.
Would definitely stay here again!
This is a beautiful house inside a multi-unit, gated compound. The one we stayed in (Casa Nancy) had amazing views, a lovely LARGE balcony/patio, well-appointed rooms, and an incredible master bedroom, with spectacular views. The house is a short 10-15 min walk into town, depending if you take the inside alleys or the main road. There are a few restaurants and cafes within a 2 min walk, and two bodegas as well. I cannot say enough about Susan and Chuck's hospitality - they really made it feel like home for us. The entire family had a great time and will definitely stay here when we return to SMA
